The consortium of NLUs usually publish the CLAT Answer Key for both UG and PG courses just after the Exam. You can download the answer key PDF for verifying your answers and raising objections.
The answer key for CLAT is released in two stages: the provisional answer key and the final answer key. A minimal fee of INR 1000 had to be paid per objection in the provisional answer key.
After re-evaluating the objections and the provisional answer key, the authorities have shared the CLAT Final Answer Key.

Here is the table consisting of the answer key release dates for CLAT. Considering the objections raised, authorities modify the responses and release the CLAT final answer key. This response sheet shall form the basis of your CLAT Result.

* Usually, Exam held in the month May every year, but after covid situation exam date was deferred by the Consortium of NLUs. In 2022 consortium conducted the two CLAT Exams, which means CLAT 2022 was taken on 19th June, 2022, while CLAT 2023 was taken on 18th December 2022. As per latest notofication published by the Consortium CLAT 2024 will be held on 3rd Dec, 2023. So, Answer Key will be published accordingly.
How to Raise Objections against CLAT Answer Key?
You can raise objections if you find any discrepancy in the Answer Key. You are allowed to file objections within the window period and only through online mode.
You can follow the below steps to raise objections against the CLAT answer key 2024.
1. Visit the official website of CLAT Consortium.
2. Login using Registration number and password.
3. Click on the "Provisional Answer Key Objection" link.
4. Fill the program, section, question, and proof of objection (if any).
5. Pay the amount via online mode for raising objections.
6. Finally, click on the submit button to submit your objection.

CLAT Scores = Total numbers of Correct options x 1 - Total number of incorrect responses x 0.25
For Example: If the number of correct answers is 120 and incorrect answers are 30, then the CLAT score will be calculated as:
Total CLAT marks = (120x1) - (30X0.25) = 120-7.5
Then, the Total marks = 112.5

Q. Where to download CLAT Answer Key?
You can download the CLAT Answer Key by visiting the official website www.consortiumofnlus.ac.in. You need to enter a valid registered ID and Password to download the answer key. If there are discrepancies in the answer key, you can raise objections by visiting the same website.
Q. What will happen if a question given in CLAT Exam is incorrect?
Generally, the LAW Consortium will publish all the questions correctly in the exam. If in case, there is any wrong question that appears in the CLAT Exam, the authorities will verify it. Marks will be given or not for the wrong question will be decided by the authority. Most of the time authorities will give marks for the wrong questions only for those who have attempted the question. If a wrong question is not attempted, then no marks are given.
Q. How can I object to the CLAT answer key?
You can raise objections if they find any discrepancy in the CLAT Answer Key. Visit the official CLAT website for raising objections. After that click on the “objections on answer key”. A login window will be displayed on the screen. You need to enter a valid mobile number and password which is given at the time of registration. After a successful login to the page, click on the ‘Provisional Answer Key Objections’ button and fill all the required details along with the attaching the file that justifies your objection. Finally, click on the submit button.
Q. What is the difference between a provisional and CLAT final answer key?
The Provisional Answer Key is the first answer key released by the authorities to help you to calculate the approximate scores in the exam. It consists of serial-wise answers for all the questions asked in the exam. You can cross-check their answers with the help of answer key and can raise objections if they find any discrepancy. After the completion of the objection process, the Final Answer Key will be released.
With the help of this answer key, you can analyze your performance by knowing the number of questions marked incorrectly in the exam. By knowing the expected scores, you will get a rough idea about the colleges in which they can find an admission.
